BC Housing’s mandate to fund preconstruction costs for supportive housing on 12 city-owned sites includes the 1134 Burrard Street Youth and Family Services building, who’s lease expired on June 30th, 2009. There has been a Rezoning application submitted by Dysarchitecture to rezone the DD Downtown District zone to a CD-1 Comprehensive Development zone in order to construct a 16-storey building featuring 141 residential units with one level of underground parking. The site is located between Helmcken and Davie Streets in downtown Vancouver.
