New Development: Harbourside Village, North Vancouver
Concert Properties has approached City Council with a proposal to turn the 136,000 square foot lot at 801 Harbourside Drive in North Vancouver into a large mixed-use neighbourhood. The planned community includes 525,000 square feet of residential space, and 320,000 square feet of office space. This project is still in the planning stages, and may not actually happen. One Councillor, Bob Fearnley, has already expressed his disapproval due a GVR mandate to preserve industrial land in outlying municipalities.

A Retail and Office building on the northest corner of 120th Street and 84th Avenue in Surrey was just sold. Brokered by the boys at Mac Realty, the building featured two floors, with the first floor retail and second floor offices.
The building is named Plaza 84 and has several small local shops and restaurants including Church's Chicken, with approximately 17,360 square feet of leasable space. Price paid for the property was $2,587,500, which represents a price of $149 per square foot.

Some details have finally surfaced on the Grosvenor sale at 1040 West Georgia Street in Downtown Vancouver. This huge real estate deal was brokered by the guys at Cushman & Wakefield for $84,000,000. The assessed value for the subject property is $72,969,000.
The Office tower has 22-Storeys, and is located between Burrard and Thurlow on W. Georgia Street. The total floor area measures 203,748 Square Feet, which works out to approximately $412 per square foot. Sure doesn't feel like there's any slowdown of sales here!
